Join us for the Fire Preparedness Safety Fair on Sunday, October 4, from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 PM at The Valley (formerly Mission Valley Mall) in the Oasis Courtyard. This free, family-friendly event, presented by the San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation in partnership with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department and SDG&E, kicks off National Fire Prevention Week with this year’s theme, “Charge Into Fire Safety: Safe Charging is a Super Power.”
Discover how to protect your home and family from the growing risks of lithium-ion battery fires through demonstrations, hands-on safety activities, and expert tips on charging, storing, and disposing of batteries safely. Enjoy interactive experiences like meeting firefighters and lifeguards, exploring fire trucks and ambulances, and visiting the Kids Zone.
With partner exhibits, recruitment opportunities, and a chance to win prizes, the Fire Preparedness Safety Fair lets you get informed, get prepared, and have fun while making your community safer.
