Fire season arrived early and ferociously in San Diego. Black soot covers homes, families are displaced, and firefighters are stretched thin. Protecting and preventing disasters and taking care of our community when disasters occur is the work of the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department (SDFD), a job more challenging than ever right now. On top of everyday public safety calls for medical, fire, and water rescue emergencies, fire-rescue personnel are working through an ongoing pandemic.

Each day, these brave men and women leave their families behind to risk their lives to help our community. Without question, they are heroes.

The San Diego Fire Rescue Foundation works directly with the SDFD to identify unmet equipment, training, and technology needs.

A gift to the Fire Rescue Foundation will help provide our fire-rescue personnel with the enhanced resources they need to support our community during wildfires and the hundreds of emergencies they respond to every day.

You can help our firefighters stay at the top of their ability to serve our community.

In these times of crisis, San Diego residents have always been very caring and generous to those in need, including the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department. Today, we need you more than ever before. Join us in making the San Diego and the surrounding region safer for our residents and their families.

With your support, we will keep working to make a difference for our fire-rescue personnel by providing funding and resources where there are needed most.

Funds raised will help build a responsible supply of tools, equipment and PPE needed to support our fire-rescue personnel through the current and upcoming wildfires, pandemic and day-to-day emergencies. Resources like disposable gowns, masks, sleeping pads, hand tools, and meals for our firefighters.
