Girl’s Empowerment Camp (GEC) is a free 2-day camp, open to girls ages 14-18, that introduces them to career opportunities in the fire service and encourages them to consider fire service as a viable career option.

GEC provides campers with a realistic, hands-on overview of firefighting and exposure to all aspects of public safety career opportunities in the fire service. Additionally, the program empowers campers with life skills and professional guidance that encourages them to pursue a career in public safety.

Campers will receive:

  • Hands-on training with firefighting tools and equipment
  • 180-degree exposure to public safety career options
  • CRP/AED training
  • Participant backpack and t-shirt
  • Lunch is provided each day

Camp is free but registration is required. To confirm your spot you must complete the 2-step registration:

  1. Complete the online registration form.
  2. Upon receipt of the online registration you will be mailed a camper packet that must be competed, signed, and returned.
