We Can Use Your Help

Volunteering is fun

it’s fun

Pulling off a fun, flawless event requires the help of dozens of enthusiastic and hard-working volunteers. No experience is necessary and there are several exciting volunteer opportunities from which to choose. All volunteers receive an official race crew shirt, race goodie bag, community service hours, and the appreciation and adoration of our participants and first responders.

Volunteering is more fun with a friend so grab a few and sign up today to support the San Diego Fire Rescue 5K & Kids Run.

Kids Run

FUN for the entire family

for the entire family

The Kids 1-Mile Run starts at 9:00am and is open to children ages 6-12. The entry fee for the Kids 1-Mile Run is $25 and includes a race shirt, drawstring race bag, finishers medal and a free pancake breakfast for the registered runner. Parents are encouraged to cheer on their runner from the sidelines but are not allowed on the course. We will have uniformed course guides running with the kids and stationed along the course.

The Sparky Sprint (100 yards) will take place at 9:30am and is open to all children ages 3-5. The registration fee for the Sparky Sprint is $15 and registration is required. Registration includes a kids race shirt, finisher medal and a free pancake breakfast for the registered runner. (Please note that Spark Sprint registration does not include a drawstring race bag.) Parents are encouraged to cheer on their runner from the sidelines, but they will be allowed to run with younger participants who may need a little extra encouragement.
