Thank you for being there for the men and women, San Diego’s dedicated first responders, who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe. Because of your dedication, I count you as a first responder, as well .

Many people may not know that the majority of San Diego County is at high risk for fire. We often think of the outskirts of our community as being at risk, but the need for protection impacts us all. The prolonged drought in California continues to intensify with back-to-back years of record-setting temperatures. And it’s only a matter of time before we will face another large-scale fire in our region.   As we have seen this past year with the fires impacting all of California, the need to be prepared has never been higher.

Will you contribute to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation as part of your end-of-year giving?  Your tax-deductible gift of $50, $100 or perhaps as much as $250 will enable us to provide wildland chainsaws and protective gear for our firefighters.

Thank you for partnering with the San Diego Fire-Rescue Foundation. You are at the heart of all we do .

Warm wishes to you and your family for a safe and happy holiday season.
